Herbert Fuchs (Austria)
1952 born in Innsbruck / Tirol / Austria
1979 graduate in painting from the Fine Arts Academy in Vienna/Austria

Well known painter and exhibitor in Austria and Germany. Holds well recognized avantgarde exhibitions in Innsbruck and Tyrol and publishes also books about famous local and international artists. Has collaborations e.g. with Martin Kippenberger.

Established in the Eighties in Innsbruck the project “Amraser Strasse 28” which brings young international artists to Innsbruck, besides Kippenberger also Peter Boemmels, Walter Dahn, Georg Dokoupil, Alfons Egger, Martin Gostner, Heimo
Zobernig, Oswald Oberhuber. With „3 days Umhausen“ he creates in 1990 the biggest event in Austria which exhibits 30 painters, sculptores, object performers,
writers etc.

In the last years he started his series “Cities of the world” in New York, London, Paris and Milano. He paints in acrylic colors individual portraits of these world cities.

Currently exhibits with his twin brother Dieter Fuchs at the Superstars 2005 exhibition in the Kunsthalle Vienna.
